About Harvest

Before Harvest, we ran a lab.

A lab makes medical waste every day. We saw the bills, the contracts, and the service. So we started the company we wished had shown up.

The story

David Dyer and Todd Cook ran Lab Works together.

A diagnostic lab in Alabama, later acquired by Labcorp. Every day it made medical waste, and every month someone had to deal with the hauler. So they started a medical waste company in Birmingham that does it the way they wished someone had done it for them: a real person who shows up, one flat rate per container, and a cleaner way to treat the waste than burning or steaming it.

“When I sold my last company, I said the next one I started had to do two things. It had to be different, and it had to make an impact. Different came through ozone, a cleaner way to treat medical waste that we’re grateful to be the first in Alabama approved to use.”David Dyer, Founder & CEO

We are different. On purpose.

Service. Price. The planet.

Service

You call Birmingham and a person answers. Our reps come by in person. We're proud to be part of the work that happens behind the scenes, because every detail matters.

Price

One flat rate per container. No fuel surcharges, no environmental fees, no surprises. If you're ever paying us more than you paid before, we'll be the first to tell you.

The planet

We're approved to treat medical waste with ozone instead of burning or steaming it, at our own facility in Birmingham. Hospitals already recycle with us, and we're working with research universities on what medical waste can become.

“Our customers are not just our customers. They’re people and companies that we care about, and it shows.”Kaila Wilson, Operations
